The AI Revolution and Data Integrity: Embracing Lessons from the Brain's Source of Truth

When I started on my exploration of data security, advanced computing and intelligent systems years ago, the notion that our innovative ideas sought to mirror nature's perfect simplicity became apparent, and this truth remains as relevant today. We aspire to create machines that can mimic human thinking, communication, and decision-making capabilities. Nature, in its endless possibility, has already provided us with elegant and simple solutions to many of the challenges we are trying to conquer with advanced technology.

In this new AI driven world, the pursuit of simplicity remains a formidable yet essential challenge. Achieving true simplicity in our innovations is a lofty goal that demands careful consideration of tradeoffs to distill the most vital features. As creators and engineers working towards an intelligent and secure future, we must navigate the delicate balance between complexity and simplicity. It is a journey that reminds me in some ways of the choices made by our own creator God in shaping the human race, including the intricacies of data security, intelligence, and the development of human machines capable of independent thinking, learning, and, unfortunately, the manifestation of unspeakable evil we witness today. God certainly didn't intend evil, but it was an outcome that came from giving his human computer free will to make decisions and I believe even our own AI will approach this same difficult inflection point. As we embrace our pursuit of intelligent digital systems, we strive to craft a future where technology seamlessly integrates with our lives, offering simplicity, speed of knowledge, enrichment and untold benefits. Even with the huge upside benefits there is another scary side and a side that AI pioneers have been warning us about.

The most significant AI threat lies in unprotected data. While our brains, like advanced computers, have a natural security mechanism that prevents data hacking, developing secure AI is a challenge due to the need to protect the "source of truth," akin to how our brains process and stores important information. Just as our minds control access to memories, digital systems also require mechanisms to quickly recall data, safeguard data and are core to making a trustable AI system. As I have been saying in repeat, "unstrustable data = an AI you can't trust."

To illustrate this challenge further, let's imagine a real-world scenario: meeting someone new at a Starbucks. Initially, our conversations involve superficial and harmless exchanges, such as greetings and casual inquiries. As we build trust and familiarity, deeper connections are established, and more substantial facts about ourselves are shared. However, there remains a wealth of personal data that we would never divulge to this acquaintance. Only through the establishment of trust and a stronger bond would we consider revealing more intimate details.

Translating this human behavior to the AI plane presents a host of formidable problems. Chief among them are security, authentication, verification, and establishing trust. These challenges have long plagued data scientists and continue to be some of the most significant hurdles we face in the AI and cyber security landscape. Many systems are constructed with control in mind, rather than prioritizing security and trust, which raises concerns about data protection and privacy. Just look at how vulnerable our AI systems are today. Hack the AI data and hack the AI's response it's really that simple. The reality is bad inputs, equals bad outputs since AI has no way to distinguish fake from real information. So you can see what can happen when we have AI systems built into important areas in our life and someone compromises the data itself. Bad things will happen!

As we navigate the intricacies of data security and AI ethics, we must remain vigilant in addressing these challenges. The pursuit of a reliable source of truth, similar to the human mind's cognitive process of protecting data, is essential for building trustworthy and responsible AI systems. Only by recognizing the value of simplicity and trust can we steer our technology toward a future that benefits humanity without compromising privacy and control.

Secured2 has dedicated significant effort to address the issue of trust and develop the essential technology for a source of truth. This source of truth revolves around safeguarding secrets/data, an absolutely critical aspect for any data-driven system. Without this protection, every system is left vulnerable and at risk. Additionally, we recognize the importance of establishing trust from the outset and nurturing it over time. At Secured2, we have successfully completed the construction of a robust framework and complementary technology, laying the groundwork for a trust-based system that can serve as the foundation for the world's AI driven landscape.

Today we observe a considerable amount of time being invested in building AI models, often neglecting a crucial piece - a secure storage capability akin to the brain's data storage/retrieval functioning. Secured2, stands at the forefront of this endeavor. While we are indeed venturing into AI, our approach of building the secure underpinnings sets us apart from the current trends. We firmly believe that the AI of the future will undergo significant transformation, becoming far more secure, mimicking human intelligence and having a profound positive impact on your life.

Please stay connected with Secured2 now and in the future as we unveil our innovations to address significant challenges, yielding technology we can rely on and give to the world, not just a privileged few. Our vision stretches far beyond the present, shaping a future driven by secure and trustworthy technological advancements, not centralized control as we witness today. To all the trailblazers shaping our intelligent future, there looms a grave risk - the haste with which some may embrace new technology without fully comprehending the consequences of inadequately protecting the vital data fueling its intelligence. Just as tainted data yields tainted results in human beings, so too will it taint the output of AI. Shouldn't we have learned from years of human experimentation on platforms like Facebook and Twitter, which have been plagued by fake data? Now, envision the chilling nightmare when AI permeates every system without adequate security or a source of truth. Consider this a warning - the prospect is genuinely frightening!
